Prima Alpaca
Once treasured by Incan royalty for its versatility, softness and beauty, alpaca fabric remains one of the most sought-after textiles available today. Prized for its exquisite drape and supreme softness, Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca, a collection of luxurious home textiles, is known for its spectacular palette and unparalleled sumptuous texture. Inspired by nature. Tended by hand. Woven in the Andes.
We thrive for sustainability.
The process of making Prima Alpaca is a low impact process that creates jobs for herdsmen and textile workers in Peru.Alpacas eat indigenous grasses and do not need agriculturally grown food such as hay. Alpacas have soft pads, not hooves- which minimize their impact on pastures. The manufacturing process for alpaca fiber requires 60% less water than cotton and 25% less than wool, thus saving water and energy.

Meet Sandra
Thanks to her Peruvian heritage and extensive travel experiences from a young age, Sandra developed a fine eye for quality craftmanship and design. This inherent understanding of luxury led her to interpret Alpaca, the world’s finest natural fiber, in a way nobody ever had. In 2006 she launched Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca, an extensive line of luxury textiles for the home. Originally inspired by the colors of California wine country, Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca has expanded to an array of more than one hundred different textiles; and is represented in design showrooms worldwide. 15 years after the foundation of the company, Sandra continues to contribute to the global design discourse with a modern interpretation of Peruvian textile traditions.
